
A 7.100 acre wildfire burning west of boulder Colorado is threatening hundreds of homes and has caused the evacuation of thousands of people.
At least 92 structures have been destroyed and hundreds remain at risk. 70 subdivisions have been evacuated and another 8000 residents have been advised that they may have to flee their homes. Colorado government bill ritter declared a state of emergency yesterday as the size of the wildfire more than doubles. The sheriffs department is investigating a report that the fire may have started when a car hit and ruptured a propan tank.
